- Colgate Toothpaste. Temporarily reglue a loose crown by putting a dab of Colgate Toothpaste inside the crown and pressing it back in place. Then see your dentist as soon as possible.
- Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera. Dissolve one teaspoon of Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera in one cup of water and use the mixture as a mouth rinse to soothe toothache pain.
- Lipton Tea. Relieve a toothache or stop gums from bleeding after having a tooth pulled by pressing a dampened Lipton Tea Bag against the cavity or sore gums. The tannic acid in the tea numbs the spot and clots blood.
- Listerine. Swishing a mouthful of Listerine around the cavity, lost filling, or broken tooth relieves a toothache temporarily. Listerine is an analgesic, instantly relieving the pain of an exposed nerve for a considerable length of time.
- McCormick Black Pepper. Add ¼ teaspoon of black pepper to one cup boiling water, stir, cover, and simmer on a low heat for seven minutes. Remove from heat, let sit for fifteen minutes, then strain through a Mr. Coffee Filter. While the liquid is still warm, take small sips and swish through your mouth, concentrating on the affected area. Repeat as needed.
- McCormick Vanilla Extract. To relieve a toothache, saturate a cotton ball with McCormick Vanilla Extract and place it against the sore spot. The high alcohol content dulls the pain.
- Morton Salt. Add one teaspoon of salt to a glass of warm water and rinse your mouth with the solution to help soothe and anesthetize the pain.
- Popsicle. Sucking on an ice-cold Popsicle and pressing it against the gum, soothes the pain just like an ice pack.
- Smirnoff Vodka. Take a shot of Smirnoff Vodka and swish it over the tooth, allowing your gums to absorb some of the alcohol and numb the pain. Swallow or spit out the rest.
- Tabasco Pepper Sauce. Apply a dab of Tabasco Pepper Sauce to the gum. Made from a variety of pepper called Capsicum frutescens, Tabasco Pepper Sauce contains an alkaloid called capsaicin that has been proven to numb pain when applied topically.
